Christmas in The Beatles’ Liverpool & Manchester – Exclusively Solos

Make your own way to a countryside hotel*, on the edge of Knutsford in Manchester. Your tour manager will welcome you upon arrival, and you can warm up some sherry and mince pies.

The rest of the evening will be free to settle in, perhaps making use of the spa facilities before a three-course dinner is served, followed by tea and coffee.

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before boarding the coach for a visit to Liverpool, the home of The Beatles. Under the guidance of your tour manager, discover the city’s most famous landmarks, including Royal Albert Dock, the majestic Three Graces (Royal Liver Building, Cunard Building, and Port of Liverpool Building), and the impressive Liverpool and Metropolitan Cathedrals.

Continue your journey with a chance to visit to the world-renowned The Beatles Story Museum at Albert Dock, where you’ll learn about the history and legacy of The Beatles. You can see recreations of key locations in the band’s career, like The Cavern Club and Abbey Road Studios, as well as original authentic memorabilia and musical instruments.

In the evening, return to the hotel for a three-course dinner, and time to relax in the bar and lounge with your fellow travellers.

This Christmas Eve will start with breakfast, and you’ll then depart for a visit to the nearby historic city of Chester. In the company of a local guide explore its enchanting streets lined with black-and-white Tudor-style buildings, stroll along the famous Rows, and admire landmarks like Chester Cathedral and the Roman city walls. Take time to enjoy some shopping or soak in the festive atmosphere.

In the evening, attend a Carol Service, where you can join in traditional hymns and enjoy the festive spirit. Afterwards, have a three-course dinner, complete with a selection of appetisers, mains, and desserts, followed by tea and coffee to conclude a magical evening.

It’s Christmas Day, and you’ll celebrate with a Champagne breakfast, featuring a full and continental breakfast buffet paired with bubbles to set the tone.

Relax at the hotel, perhaps taking a dip in the heated indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi before Champagne and canapés are followed by a traditional Christmas lunch. Later, gather to watch the King’s Christmas Speech, complemented by Christmas cake, teas, and coffee.

In the evening, enjoy a relaxed buffet dinner and then an engaging quiz night, where you can test your knowledge.

Ease into Boxing Day with breakfast and then board the coach for a tour to Manchester. Learn about its industrial history, which it is known for and visit some of the main attractions, like Manchester Town Hall, the magnificent John Rylands Library, and the architecturally beautiful Manchester Cathedral. Check out Manchester’s arts and music scene by exploring the Northern Quarter’s mix of shops, galleries, and street art.

Back at the hotel, you can watch some live entertainment and have your last three-course dinner in the company of the other travellers.

After a final breakfast, say goodbye to the other travellers, check out and make your own way home.
