It is essential that you check-in online with your airline directly for all flights on your ticket (both your outbound flight from the UK and your inbound flights at the end of your trip). If you do not check-in online prior to departure, you may experience queues and the relevant airline may apply charges at the airport.
Due to data protection regulations, we are unfortunately unable to complete online check-in for you as we cannot hold your personal passport details. However, we have collated the below useful information by airline which should help you complete your online check-in and obtain boarding passes for your flights.
Simply scroll down to the airline you are flying with and follow the steps (all web links open in a new browser window so you will still be able to view this guidance at the same time).
Please note: to check-in online for your flight, you will need your Airline Booking Reference (this is different from your Newmarket Holidays booking reference). Your Airline Booking Reference will be included under the 'Flights' section of your final travel documents which will be sent to you approximately seven days before departure.
Before arriving at your departure airport, please ensure that you have your boarding passes ready for inspection (either in an electronic or paper format).

Pegasus Airlines, typically flying to Turkey, do not have an online check-in facility. You should proceed to your departure airport and check in at the airport check-in counter. You will simply need your passport and flight reference number (which can be found on your Final Travel Documents) to check in.
RYANAIR
TUI - online check-in is available from 48 hours prior to your flight departure time
TURKISH AIRLINES - online check-in is available from 24 hours prior to your flight departure time
VUELING - online check-in is available from 24 hours prior to your flight departure time
WIZZ AIR - online check-in is available from 48 hours prior to your flight departure time
Ryanair offers convenient travel from local airports which suits many of our customers, but please do be mindful of specific requirements when travelling with Ryanair.
You will be required to check-in online (via their website or mobile app) before you arrive at your departure and return airport, or you will be charged a fee.
If it is possible, we recommend you check-in online in advance of travel, using the airline booking code which we will provide to you within your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive 7-10 days before departure.

The exception is if you have a regional connection via London Heathrow or have an upgraded seat, in which case you can check-in online 24 hours before departure.
EGYPTAIR

EMIRATES

UNITED AIRLINES
As we book tours including United Airlines flights as a group, online check-in is not available. You should proceed to the airport and check in with your passport 3 hours before departure.
VIRGIN ATLANTIC
Online check in is available 24 hours before departure using the flight code within your Final Travel Documents.
VIETNAM AIRLINES
As we book tours including Vietnam Airlines flights as a group, online check-in is not available. You should proceed to the airport and check in with your passport 3 hours before departure.
For long-haul holidays, seating in economy class cannot be pre-booked until very close to departure, given the nature of our competitive fare arrangements with our airline partners. Once you receive your final travel documents, some airlines will permit you to allocate your seats for a cost, payable directly to the airline. The procedure for doing this will vary between airlines, but will be clearly shown on your documents. We cannot do this for you and must be done directly with the airline.
For UK and European short-haul holidays, you may be able to pre-book your seats directly with your airline (there will be a charge for doing so) when we supply you with your flight reference number. In some cases we will SMS you (if we have your mobile number) your flight reference number, otherwise your flight reference number will be available when we send you your final travel documents, approx. 7-10 days before your departure date. Should you opt to not pay your airline to select your seats, you will be sat automatically by your airline (which may not be with your travelling party).
You will receive details of the terminal you are flying from with your final travel documents, which are sent approximately one week prior to your date of departure. Alternatively, you can visit the websites below to find out which terminal different flights normally depart from.

There are only a few UK airports that have more than one departure terminal, so if your airport is not on this list, you will simply need to proceed to that airport's 'Departures'.
For long-haul holidays, most international flights depart from London Heathrow:
For customers departing from London Gatwick with easyJet, please note that easyJet operates from both the North and the South terminal. The information we provide at the time of booking and when we send your departure documents is the information to the best of our knowledge at the time. However, due to their size at this airport, easyJet may change the departing or arriving terminal at short notice.
For customers flying from Manchester airport:
For Domestic and European holidays, the recommended check-in time is two hours before your flight. For Transatlantic and other Long-haul destinations, you should check in three hours before your flight. If you are travelling by Eurostar, check in will be one hour before departure.
As an escorted touring company, Newmarket Holidays purchase flight seats from long-haul airlines (eg Virgin Atlantic, KLM and Kenya Airways) as a group. This means that your individual flight reference number will be available to you approx. 2 weeks before your scheduled departure date. We are unable to source this any earlier. Once your airline flight reference is available, this will be sent to you with your Final Travel Documents. At this point, you will be able to log onto the airline directly and pay any associated costs to them for pre-booking seats. The point where you can pre-book your seats varies between airlines. As examples, with Virgin Atlantic, this can be actioned approximately 3 weeks before travel. With British Airways, they do not permit pre-booking of seats until around 3 days before departure due to the nature of group fare rules.
This is possible in certain circumstances. As a group escorted tour operator, we buy seats in blocks for our travelling group. This means our holidays are competitively priced, as we source very good rates with our airline partners. Should you wish to upgrade, we would be deviating your booking away from the group economy fare, to a different fare type. This means the difference between the original economy fare quoted (part of our group) and the new upgraded fare will likely be greater than you may expect. You should not compare fares on airline websites, as these are not reflective of the arrangement we have with airlines.
We can quote upgrade rates for flights with Virgin Atlantic, Air Canada and Malaysia Airlines within 5 days. All other upgrade requests are submitted to the airline for quoting and can take up to two weeks to come back.
Upgrades are not permitted within 6 weeks of departure.
Airlines require valid photographic ID for domestic flights within the UK. We recommend you carry a valid passport for travel even within the UK, or you should consult your airline as to which photo ID is valid for travel.
