Role Profile

This is a key role within a strong sales and customer focused environment. As a Travel Sales Consultant and Holiday Planner you will have all the tools to deliver wish-list holidays to existing, new and potential customers & Travel Agents. Listening skills are key to building a relationship and maximising service & sales opportunities – fulfilling chosen wish-lists for those with something in mind and opening the world of possibilities to those looking for inspiration from us.

Primarily you will be conversing by telephone and there is also the opportunity for our team to support our customers & travel agent partners via digital channels, such as LiveChat. Our goal is to be as accessible to our customers as possible. We pride ourselves on really understanding our holidays and our customers and matching their requirements to the perfect trip, something our customers will always remember.

Through all of this, you will have the customer at the heart of your thinking and constantly driving sales through a service led approach. As a Travel Sales Consultant & Holiday Planner, you'll have the chance to join one of our tours at least once per year as well as multiple other training opportunities, including the chance to join ship visits with our cruise partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • First and foremost, delivering the amazing service our customers expect when planning their wish-list holidays.
  • Supporting customers and travel agent partners, at whatever stage of their journey they are with us.
  • Carefully listening to customers to really get to know them, to make recommendations for their perfect holiday with us.
  • Maximising your sales through a service led approach. This includes the opportunity to drive incremental up sell products such as higher room categories, pre-booked excursions, or airport car parking.
  • Being aware always of how you are performing and strive to always do better, really focusing on delivery of monthly sales targets which leads to uncapped commission opportunities.
  • Reacting to and responding to customers in a timely way, to maximise sales conversion.
  • Liaising with other departments to minimise barriers to sale.
  • Taking responsibility for your own learning; always seeking out new ways to learn and grow, for your own and the companies benefit.

Who we are looking for

  • If you've worked in travel before, in a travel agent or tour operator and want to either try something different or return to the industry, this is the role for you!
  • Someone with a huge passion for people, both colleagues and customers and who wants to deliver amazing service.
  • Previous sales & service experience is necessary, but this does not have to be in travel (although desirable).
  • We operate over a seven-day period. Ideally we are looking for full time colleagues, but if you have the right skills & experience and interested in part time roles, get in touch!
  • Someone open to giving and receiving great feedback from your managers and peers with a view to improving your performance.
  • Someone who is solutions focused, always finding ways to do things better for our customers, our business, and our colleagues.
