Our day trips begin from your local airports where you will be met by our team, before you board your specially chartered flight to Pajala in Swedish Lapland. Please be at the airport two hours before your flight. Yours will be the only flight to Pajala on this day as this location is exclusive to Newmarket Holidays and numbers are strictly limited, which means you'll have plenty of time to enjoy all the activities on offer throughout your magical day.
Santa's helpers will meet you when you arrive and transport you to Santa's Village, just 15 minutes from the airport. Santa's Village in Pajala, Sweden is a very unique, local and authentic Lappish experience.
Today's visitors will be split into four groups to move around the activities of the day, including snowmobiling, reindeer ride, husky dog sledge and of course, the highlight of the day will surely come as you set foot on the 'secret path' through the forest, and follow the twinkling lanterns to Santa's log cabin home. Get your festive wish-list ready, as he'll be waiting there to greet you personally - the perfect end to an unforgettable magical day.
During the day you'll be served a delicious, traditional Lappish lunch consisting of vegetable soup, meatballs and pasta and hot-dogs. Vegetarian options are available. Cookies and warm berry juice will be served throughout the day.
Lapland is in the artic circle. Temperatures are very cold and you should prepare yourself for this.
We will kit you out with a thermal suit and boots. We recommend you bring with you:
Should you get wet or cold, you can change your thermal suits & boots at any time.
Lapland is a remote location in northern Sweden. You'll have plenty of opportunity to take those social media photos, but please, be sensible. High heels are not appropriate!
There will be no meals served on the outbound flight. We recommend you have a good breakfast before you leave for or at the airport. There will be a limited buy on board service.
At Santa's village, you'll be served a traditional Lappish lunch. This consists of vegetable soup and pasta with meatballs. Hot dogs are also available as well as vegetarian options. You are welcome to go back for seconds!
Due to the very remote location, we are unable to cater for any specific dietary requirements. It is really important you have full bellies and are well hydrated, so please do bring extra snacks with you if you wish to do so.
On the return flight, we will serve a cold packed tea, with a vegetarian sandwich and snacks.
No. As this is a specially chartered flight with Enter Air we will allocate your seats with your party. There is no online check in functionality, so you should present yourself at your departure airport two hours before the flight leaves. Our team will be on hand to meet and assist you.
There is indeed! The gift shop sells some lovely local souvenirs and Christmas treats, as well as tea, coffee, hot chocolate & snacks. You can pay in British Pounds by cash or by credit/debit card.
Santa's elves are very busy making and preparing all the gifts to be delivered on Christmas eve, so you won't see the elves, but Santa's helpers are on hand to help you have the most magical day.
We have a changing room which is monitored by staff of Santa's Winter Village all day long. There are pegs here and you can leave whatever you wish in the changing room. There are no lockers and we'd recommend perhaps a "bum bag" style bag to keep your passports and money secure during the day and attached to you.
Lapland day trips are magical. However, given it is a long day and temperatures can be very cold, we do not recommend our Lapland days for children under four years of age.
Please also note that buggies and strollers are not permitted to be checked in for the flight or in Santa's Village.
It is standard that aircraft departing in cold temperatures will need to de-ice before departure. This process normally take between 15 and 30 minutes and can only begin once all passengers have boarded and the doors are closed. So do expect to actually depart later than the scheduled departure time, for this very important safety reason.
